Introduction:
The Eastwick Family Center located at 2901 S. 84th Street, within the G. W. Pepper Middle School is one of nineteen family centers under the Office of Community Family Centers in the Department of Human Services. As such the Eastwick Family Center adheres to a strict code of Core Standards that govern the quality and scope of programs offered. These areas of service are defined as After School & Summer programs, Positive Youth Development, Information Referrals and Linkages, Case Management, and Parent Education. Eastwick's ongoing mission is to provide prevention services to the residents of Southwest Philadelphia within the 19142, 19143 and 19153 zipcodes.

Eastwick is part of a trinity of family centers partnered with Children's Service Inc. (CSI). The others include Huey and Hope provides services to residents of West Philadelphia. CSI is a one hundred fifteen year-old child welfare agency located in Center City that is affiliated with the United Way of Southern PA. CSI also offers a myriad of services such as Foster Care, Supervised Assisted Living to older dependant and independent youth, and counseling services. To fulfill the requirements set fourth by DHS the Eastwick Family Center offer the following programs:

GED/ABE Classes
This program is designed to prepare the adult learner for the General Educational Development test. Adult learners will receive instruction in math, social studies, reading skills and writing.
Hours: Tuesday & Thursday 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM

After School Academic Enhancement / Computer Technology
Students between grades 3 and 8 receive academic assistance, individualized tutoring, computer instruction, arts & crafts, trips and outdoor activities.
Location: Eastwick Family Center & Paschall Homes
Hours: Monday - Friday 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Rites of Passage
This program focuses on the cultural, moral, and intellectual development of youths ages 10 to 14 years old.
Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays 3:00pm -5:00pm

TANF Advocacy
Women's Association for Women's Alternatives offers assistance to families navigating the welfare system onsite at Huey.
Hours: Mondays and Wednesdays 9:00am-5:00pm

Case Management
There is an in house Case Manager, onsite individual case manaagement, and referrals.
Hours: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

SAT Prep
This program will teach students ages 14 to 18 math, reading comprehension, and related topics covered on the SAT test. Students will also tour college campuses and interact with college students.
Hours: Saturdays 10:00am -12:00pm

Storytime
Eastwick Staff persons travels to community sites, schools and daycare centers to promote reading literacy to children ages 4-12 years old.
Hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday(call to make an appointment for your site).

Consulation and Education Specialist
Provides behavioral interventions and triage for crisis that occur in school and home of student. Short term case management.
Hours: Monday- Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
